The UK bank accounts of tens of thousands of British expatriates living in Europe are at risk of closure 'in weeks' because of post-Brexit rules. Barclays, Coutts and Lloyds are reportedly among the number of UK banks beginning to send notice to expat customers that they will close their accounts at 11pm on December 31.

As a result, many are simply choosing to withdraw their banking services. Individual banks are making their own decisions on which EU countries to continue operating in and which to pull out of. Mail Online reports the story further.
