This course is aimed at those Payroll & HR Professionals who are processing or managing Vendors who process Payrolls in Mauritius and need to have an understanding of the legislative and legal requirements involved.

Located just off the southeast coast of Africa, Mauritius and Indian Ocean island nation with beautiful beached and reefs is found. The official language, currency and revenue authority introduces more featured information discussed in the workshop.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work for Mauritius is explored through examples. Employees that earn below a certain amount of income in the private sector must receive an additional grant from employers.


The minimum leave that employees are entitled to and how employees should be paid are discussed.

Statutory Contributions:

Statutory contributions towards the MDS, HRDC, PRGF to name a few examples are inspected to determine the contribution calculations for employees and or employers.

Statutory Reports:

Statutory reports that have to be submitted monthly and annually are explained through viewing example of the statutory reports and submission timelines and methods.

Tax Calculation:

The basic Mauritius tax calculation is probed to determine the taxable parameters.
