[US] Dayforce 2024 revenue forecast buoyed by strong payroll demand
02 May 2024

On May 1, Dayforce (formerly Ceridian HCM Holding) raised its full-year revenue forecast. The bump was helped by strong demand for its payroll services in a resilient US labour market, Reuters reports.

A rise in jobs in the nation is driving demand for Dayforce’s HR and payroll services.

The human resources software and services provider has also invested in AI which, together with the recent acquisition of Eloomi, has helped it combat stiff competition.

US jobs growth for March exceeded expectations with the labour market enjoying gains from a steady rise in immigration over the past year.

The company now reportedly expects full-year revenue of from $1.73 billion to $1.74 billion, up from its prior forecast of $1.72 billion to $1.73 billion. While, according to LSEG data, its second-quarter revenue forecast of $414 million to $419 million remains largely in line with analysts' estimates.

Dayforce reported first-quarter revenue of $431.5 million - topping the average analyst estimate of $426.1 million - and posted earnings per share of 4 cents, compared with 6 cents per share a year earlier.
