All of the essential information required to oversee a Payroll in Switzerland

The Swiss Payroll course aims to cover sending employees abroad to work in Switzerland or taking on a local payroll as part of an acquisition or branch opening. The course will particularly focus on ensuring your business meets all of its obligations.

Outsourcing the payroll function may seem the best solution, but the company remain legally liable for any mistakes that the outsource partner may make.

It is therefore important that the end client is aware of what the major tasks are that the outsourcer performs on their behalf, the key deadlines they need to sign off, and how to interpret key reports and information.

This on-line course focusses on the major payroll rules in Switzerland. Attendees will be able to accurately follow a simple pay calculation, and should be able to identify all of the key items on a Payslip.

You will also be able to:

  • Identify all key deadlines
  • Understand the penalty regimes and the consequences of getting it wrong
  • Have a detailed understanding of the scope of the service you are purchasing from an outsource partner
  • Identify what information you need to pass to the outsource partner and why you have to provide it

Even if payrolls are outsourced it is still the employers responsibility to ensure all obligations are met and that income tax and social security are correctly processed. This course not only gives you the information you need to be compliant but also ensures you know exactly what information should be given to a payroll provider and the various tasks they should be completing on your behalf.
