[Egypt] Launch of first management and leadership training packages for women abroad

In Egypt, the National Training Academy has announced the launch of a first of its kind training programme for Egyptian women abroad with the help and support of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and in cooperation with the Ministry of Expatriate Affairs, Daily News Egypt reports.

The programme offers training packages for Egyptian women abroad to qualify them for leadership and management roles and keep them up to date with all the developments of the Egyptian state.

Rasha Ragheb - Executive Director of the National Training Academy - said that the Egyptian state pays great attention and great care to Egyptian women because for the first time in the history of Egypt women are well-represented in the state’s administrative apparatus, the House of Representatives and the Senate, and many other leadership positions.

The Executive Director also expressed her confidence that it would be a pioneering training programme and one that the academy will be proud to implement.

Minister of Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram said, “It has always been a policy that governs us to pay real and scientific attention to empowering Egyptian women at home and abroad… to be a point of convergence that creates a real channel for the inclusion and integration of Egyptian women abroad in special development plans.”

“We are pleased to launch this programme to train Egyptian women abroad to include every Egyptian girl and woman outside Egypt,” Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr Hala El-Said said. She reportedly added that the programme comes within the framework of the Egyptian state and political leadership’s determination to promote sustainable and comprehensive development plans, including the empowerment of Egyptian girls and women economically, politically and administratively through advanced training and ensuring equal opportunities to assume leadership roles in various development fields.
