Ciphr - an ECI-backed, SaaS HR provider - has acquired Shape, a cloud-based payroll platform as part of moves to scale its payroll business, Tech Market View reports.
Ciphr is a UK-based provider of HR, learning management and payroll solutions serving over 800 clients including the Met Office, Financial Conduct Authority, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Barnardo's, Police Scotland and Volkswagen UK.
The firm has reportedly sought to acquire UK businesses that fit with its core HCM offering as it works to provide clients with access to more ‘off the shelf’ products and services.
Shape is an API-led payroll solution that should help Ciphr escalate its payroll business. Shape’s founders, Alex and Cheri Bartlett, and their team are all joining Ciphr.
