[Japan] Japan and Cambodia to reopen borders for expatriates

Japan and Cambodia have agreed to reopen borders for expatriates - potentially beginning in early September - on condition that a 14-day self-quarantine period is observed along with other COVID-19 precautions. According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen agreed on the policy during their meeting on Saturday in Phnom Penh.

This is the third deal Japan has come to this month, following similar agreements with Singapore and Malaysia, as Tokyo gradually begins to find ways relax restrictions on the entry of foreign nationals from nearly 150 countries.
