IRIS Software Group - the global software provider - has announced its acquisition of Bishop Fleming's Payroll Service Bureau, Insider reports.
The transaction will see the professional services firm divest its payroll service and focus on its core audit, accounting, tax and advisory growth strategy.
Bishop Fleming is reportedly a longstanding IRIS customer. Its 900 managed payroll clients will join IRIS customers.
The collaboration will continue with a strategic partnership, allowing Bishop Fleming to utilise the IRIS payroll bureau as part of its portfolio of services for clients.
David Lockie - chief operating officer of IRIS Software Group - said, "Our mission to support accountants and bookkeepers extends beyond our expertise in software solutions.
"Working in collaboration with Bishop Fleming, this agreement enables the firm to prioritise its strategic growth around accounting advisory services and be reassured the payroll is right first time, every time.
