Mercans - a global leader in payroll technology and Employer of Record (EOR) solutions - has continued its growth and expanded its leadership team by recruiting long-term industry veteran Mark Kimberling as its Director of Business Development & Partnerships, Gulf News reports.

Mr Kimberling has served in various strategic and business development roles for major payroll outsourcing services providers, including Ceridian, TMF, activpayroll and Payslip during a career spanning more than 25 years.

In addition to taking on global business development and strategic partnerships leadership role with Mercans, Mr Kimberling is said to be a valuable addition to Mercans’ management teams in the UK and Europe.

In recent months, Mercans has reportedly announced an increased focus on payroll outsourcing software and services and has recruited a number of industry thought leaders to its Board.

Mercans’ open technology architecture and robust integrations make its proprietary HR Blizz global payroll platform a unique plug-and-play solution for all global payroll services applications. Recent strategic partnerships tie-ups with HR Tech startup Darwinbox and IT and business process outsourcing company Infosys demonstrate a strong demand for a single payroll solution that can support more than 100 country gross-to-net payroll calculations and is fully integrated with local statutory processes.

The addition of Mark Kimberling, as its Director of Business Development & Partnerships, reportedly reinforces Mercans' focus on building a vibrant ecosystem of implementation, technology and service delivery partners who will all be able to extend their independent capabilities by leveraging Mercans’ payroll technology in their products and services offerings. The fragmented software and services provider base, especially in Europe, is proving to be a success story for Mercans and it is one of the key focus areas for Mr Kimberling in his new role.
