On the 3rd of December 2019, HMRC updated the contact details in their guidance on the application process for obtaining overseas criminality information to provide to employers in the United Kingdom. These are sometimes referred to as “Certificates of Good Character”.
The application process varies from country to country and employers or agents have to apply in the country or to the relevant embassy in the UK as follows:
