[UK] Pension Schemes Newsletter January 2020

HMRC’s Pension Schemes Services publishes a newsletter towards the end of each month to update stakeholders on the latest news for pension schemes.  The January 2020 newsletter was published on the 14^th of January 2020 with the following articles, all concerned with the “Managing Pension Schemes Service” for pension scheme registration and administration:

• Phase 2 of the implementation, coming after phase 1 as explained in the Newsletter 111 June 2019. Phase 2 will be delivered “over a number of releases throughout the next few years”
• A “how you can help us” request for individuals to help HMRC in improving the Managing Pension Schemes Service
• A section about pension scheme administrator enrolment, explaining that HMRC will only be able to migrate schemes attached to a scheme administrator ID that is already registered on the Managing Pension Schemes service
• A section about giving access to the Service to business tax account administrators and assistants i.e. other users
