On May 30, the Kuwait Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced that it would enforce the ban on working in exposed areas during noon hours from June 1, Gulf Insider reports.
The ban will reportedly remain in place until the end of August, in compliance with decision 535/2015.
According to Ahmad Al-Mousa - the Director General of PAM - the authority will organise surprise inspection tours on different locations to monitor any violations and take legal action against violators.
The decision is intended to protect workers from extreme heat and regulate the work process, without reducing working hours.
Al-Mousa stressed that employers are committed to guaranteeing the health and safety of their workers and complying with the labour law and decisions regulating it.
